Scholarship Eligibility Criteria
Socioeconomic Status
Scholarship eligibility is determined on the basis of socio-economic criteria, assessed according to the household monthly income per person. In most cases this is the scholarship applicant's parents' home, except in cases where students have no contact with their families and have no family support.
Students applying for a scholarship will be required to submit records of their household income and additional documents that support their application.
Academic Requirements
Students must meet the academic requirements of the faculty in which they are studying – they must complete the credit quota and meet the conditions to continue their studies. Student with less than a 50% course load will not be eligible for a scholarship.
Receiving a scholarship is contingent upon arranging tuition fees and / or submitting a syllabus for the academic year the scholarship is requested.
Cancellation of Scholarship
The University may ask a student to return the scholarship money he / she received – or to return part of it, at rates and on dates that shall be determined by the University – in the following cases:
1. Termination of studies, either of the student’s own volition, and / or due to the decision of the University to terminate studies.
2. A student provided false or incorrect personal information in order to obtain the scholarship and / or failed to update changes in personal information that was filled out on the Scholarship Application Form.
3. A student fails to meet requirements that the University specifies are mandatory for all students.
